Need young adult book help!

My girl is in 7th grade. She needs to read two books by the same author. They need to be about 200 - 250 pages each. It cannot be a book that has been made into a movie. She likes adventure books, romances and puzzles. She loved the entire series of Twilight. Some of her favorites when she was younger were Because of Winn-Dixie, Judy Blume, Holes, Calder Game.

What are your suggestions for her?

How about some of Beth Kephart's books? I've only read 2 of them, but I loved them both.

She could read Sarah Dessen's books. Some of them are on the shorter side - but some have older teen type content so you may want to take a look at them first. Also, Carolyn Mackler is a fun YA writer that has put out several books.

Two of Sarah Dessen's books (That Summer and Someone Like You) were made into the Mandy Moore movie How to Deal, so avoid those two.

I might try Elizabeth Scott (not Living Dead Girl because it is too short, but her others).

Or how about Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle books (starting with A Great and Terrible Beauty)?
