A few months ago, Lisa Roe, Online Publicist, sent me a very informative little book, Why the Wind Blows by Matthys Levy. With my The full title of the book is Why the Wind Blows: A History of Weather and Global Warming. The majority of the technical explanations were easy to understand, with helpful graphics throughout. The book is full of true stories of how things came about, happen, etc. The stories helped me to understand the science without feeling like I was reading a textbook (which I would not have gotten through).
If you are interested in learning more about the environment so you can understand more of what's happening today, I recommend reading this book. It won't take you long to read and it will be a good resource for your family.
